Playing Time Policy

This is AMERICA - everyone wants to win! That being said we TEACH - Lacrosse Skills and Concepts - The TeamFLC kids have a better Lax IQ than most programs because we TEACH how to play the correct way - No Short Cuts - Our goal is to get kids prepared to perform at the next level (High School).

If your child comes to practice on a regular basis - they play in the game - not just the last 5 minutes! They will get in a playing rotation as long as they have shown in practice that they have mastered the basic competencies to provide for safe play.

What parents say about TeamFLC-Tampa FishHawk Fins Program - "Your club has so many appealing advantages compared to other local clubs.   Individual Attention - at FLC your boy is just not a number in a huge mass of enrollees.   Spacious Fields - fields for practices, not the mayhem of a 1/4 field with soccer players on top of you.  Smaller Teams - that promote bonds an actual team mentality, with Sportsmanship, Fair Play and Teamwork. But what is also important to most, is Playing Time in travel games. I don't think parents would care if the team lost all games, if they knew that their boy wasn't going to be standing in a line of close to some 40 other players and getting just 5 minutes of playing time. After all, this is Middle School, not the NCAA or High School - GO FINS!!!"

Refund Policy

Full refund minus a 10% administration fee for players prior to January 15, 2011.

Good or Great?

Somewhere, someone is practicing…

And when you meet them on the field…

At that face-to-face… one-on-one moment… they will beat you.

Unless that someone practicing is YOU!

So work the off hand with WALL BALL, hit the jump rope and run the sprints.

Give it everything you've got, every day.

And when you feel tired, or feel like quitting, ask yourself this…

Is the other guy tired?

Is he quitting?

Some FAQ's...

Who is coaching your child???

Our staff is made up of players, coaches and officials who have years of experience at elite college programs which include Army, Navy, Syracuse, Salisbury, Limestone, Adelphi – no other program can offer the tradition of success that TeamFLC provides.

The coaching staff has a great understanding of how this game should be played and will teach your child in a progression based curriculum geared toward the beginner, intermediate and advanced player.

Your child’s well being is our top priority - our coaches are trained in First Aid & CPR and we are one of only a few programs with an A.E.D (Automated External Defibrillator) at every event.

Where do you practice and play games?

We practice and play at Pinecrest Elementary School - this is one of the finest lacrosse facilities in the Tampa Bay area. We enjoy full access to the facility from January - June and share it with the Pinecrest Pilots Youth Football & Cheerleading during the summer & fall. The facility has 3 lighted fields with 10 lacrosse goals.

How many hours do I need to volunteer?

No mandatory volunteer hours for parents - parents that are willing and able will offer their time to help out.
